The practice
QueensWood is a private dental practice near Okehampton, set in the grounds of Wood MediSpa on the Wood Estate at South Tawton. The setting is a deliberate part of how the practice works. It is quiet, and it feels a long way from a traditional dental surgery, with free parking at the door and time built into every appointment.
We are the only dental practice in the area equipped with EMS AirFlow, the gold standard in pain free hygiene and Guided Biofilm Therapy. It cleans using air, warm water and a fine powder rather than scraping and polishing, so you leave with a completely clean, smooth smile and none of the gritty paste or the cold water shock most people associate with a hygiene appointment.
Whether you are here for a routine examination or for advanced stain removal, the equipment on site means a gentler, temperature controlled experience throughout. The practice is small by design, so you see the same dentist at every visit, and every fee we charge is published.
Who we look after
We are an adult only practice, so we do not treat children. If you are looking for a dentist for a child, do ring us and we will gladly point you towards a practice nearby that takes them.

The Care Quality Commission
Registration number 1-10313700421. Our registered manager is Francesca McDiarmid. The practice has not yet been inspected. Reports are public and you are welcome to read ours when there is one.
The General Dental Council
Registers every clinician here. Every dentist, hygienist and nurse at QueensWood is registered, and you can check any registration at gdc-uk.org.
